DISRAELI DOCUMENTS
Paul de Vivie yet again surveys the bicycle shows highlighting anything that catches his interest. Singled out for special praise this year is the Boizot concern - for offering oval chainrings and a five speed derailleur system.
It’s strangely comforting that oval chainwheels were already being periodically ‘invented’ and then forgotten as early as 1913. Like Morris Dancing, it’s a quaint tradition well worth maintaining.
