SRAM - Spare Parts List 1999

SRAM - Spare Parts List 1999 scan 001 main image

This, very confusing, document appears to be called 'Spare Parts-List', with a very strange use of the dash, but I have decided that the intention was to call it 'Spare Parts List'.

The, equally confusing, range of rear derailleurs appears on scan 8 to scan 19 inclusive. The confusion arises from the offer being an, imperfectly defined and poorly described, car crash of the SRAM and Sachs ranges. The outcome seems to be something like:

Models with 1:1 Actuation ratio:

  • SRAM 9.0SL with an offset guide pulley
  • SRAM 9.0SL with a coaxial guide pulley
  • SRAM 9.0 with an offset guide pulley
  • SRAM 9.0 with a coaxial guide pulley
  • SRAM 7.0 with an offset guide pulley
  • SRAM 7.0 with a coaxial guide pulley
  • SRAM 5.0

Models with Shimano compatible actuation ratio:

  • SRAM Plasma with orange pulley wheels
  • Sachs (?) Plasma with black pulley wheels
  • Sachs (?) Centera (DIRT)
  • SRAM Quarz (DIRT)
  • SRAM Neos (DIRT)

Models compatible with the Sachs ARIS system:

  • Sachs New Success Sport
  • Sachs New Success MTB
  • Sachs Quarz short cage
  • Sachs Quarz medium cage
  • Sachs Quarz MTB cage
  • Sachs Neos short cage
  • Sachs Neos medium cage
  • Sachs Neos long cage
  • Sachs Centera short cage
  • Sachs Centera medium cage
  • Sachs Centera long cage

  • Sachs 7000 short cage
  • Sachs 7000 medium cage
  • Sachs 7000 long cage
  • Sachs 6000 short cage
  • Sachs 6000 medium cage
  • Sachs 6000 long cage
  • Sachs 5000 short cage
  • Sachs 5000 medium cage
  • Sachs 5000 long cage

Note that this document includes elements of the '3X7' combined hub gear and derailleur system. The derailleur for this was a nasty plastic and steel Sachs Traxx, but this is not shown anywhere.
