DISRAELI GEARS

Jevel

This mysterious derailleur has a bit of everything, a touch of Dimosil about its adjustment screws with huge, slotted heads, a touch of Shimano Skylark about its main parallelogram, a touch of the SunTour Honor's 'quick cage' around its tension pulley and a touch of 'aero' styling around its guide pulley. Very eclectic.

Civilian government was restored in Brazil in 1985, and between then and 1990 the country kind-of, gradually reopened trade links with the rest of the world, making it less neccessary to manufacture everything in Brazil. I am guessing that this derailleur was produced sometime late in the period when Brazil was forced to be self sufficient - perhaps in or around 1988.
