This patent describes one of Eugen Allmendinger's early designs for a derailleur made of fibre-reinforced composite. The obsolete geometry is that of a Campagnolo Nuovo Record, and so is nothing like his later designs or their commercial progeny, the famous Lightweight derailleur.
