This patent displays the signature features of the EGS Up Cage derailleur. They are all there, the cable roller, the slant parallelogram, the phosphor-bronze bushes and the three pulley design - with a fixed guide pulley and a totally separate upside-down pulley cage delivering chain tension. Brilliantly bizarre.
